This Day In Playoff Hockey History (4/11)

Its time for a Hump Day Edition of This Day in Hockey History.  Today’s moment comes fron the year 1980 and was a first for the Vancouver Canucks franchise.  Just imagine what would a fan would have done if their team took ten years to do the following below on “This Day”.  First, we have a video before the moment like always.

 

 

April 11, 1980


Vancouver earned the first home playoff victory in team history, and beat Buffalo 5-4 in Game 3 of the Preliminary Round. The win came after four home playoff losses in their first ten years of existence.
