We take a quick look on This Day at a moment that happened on February 2nd in hockey history. Sometimes there are just ones that explain it all and then some gems that are a true laugher. The only problem is obviously when the laugh is on the opposing team. In this case, Philadelphia not only scored a few goals but they decided to go for the dozen but that is not the intriguing part of this one. Bobby Clarke scored his 2nd career hat trick & 3 assists, Ross Lonsberry added 3 goals, & Simon Nolet had a goal and 4 assists to lead the Flyers to a 12-2 win over Detroit at the Spectrum. It was the first double hat trick in Flyers’ history.
