This Day In Hockey History (9/21)

Honestly we do have a sense of humor here at The Program.  Some may accuse us of having a very demented and wicked one at that but we do.  Immediately anyone that listens to the show will understand why on Hump Day, this moment creeped to the top of our lists today.  Also, it does involve a trade so it is newsworthy.  Surely, this player will never come on the show, especially after this or that wicked game called floorball.  Here is today’s moment with a video first.

BallHype: hype it up!

When you have a case of the Mondays, it really does drag everything down. Time to see what moment is in store for us today. Frankly, I did not even know what it would be at press time. This moment really raised the spirits. No video today….as the moment stands by itself honestly.

The Philadelphia Flyers’ preseason Hockey game against the New York Rangers ended one period early after Philadelphia fans decided they’d rather watch President Bush’s speech than the rest of the game. When the speech was about to be turned off at the start of the third period, fans chanted in unison: “Leave it on.” After the speech, the two teams lined up at center ice to shake hands amid a standing ovation. The game goes down as a 2-2 tie.
