This Day In Hockey History (8/2)

For some reason there was a Boston theme in some of the moments this morning for “This Day’.  We dug a little deeper and found a nice little trade that was agreed upon 16 years ago today.  Needless to say, it was one of those that really did not quite pan out for both sides.  A lose-lose?  Perhaps.  Okay first the video and then history so to speak.

Boston obtained Kevin Stevens and Shawn McEachern from Pittsburgh, in exchange for Glen Murray, Bryan Smolinski and the Bruins’ 3rd round pick in the 1996 Entry Draft.

Boston obtained Kevin Stevens and Shawn McEachern from Pittsburgh, in exchange for Glen Murray, Bryan Smolinski and the Bruins’ 3rd round pick in the 1996 Entry Draft.
