Yes it is TGIF!  The coolest game on Earth will at least try to keep you cool with a moment today from yesteryear.  After all what better way to think positive, right?  There were a few events that caught our eye but now it is time what topped our list and got our mention.  Here it is…..

 

 

July 22, 1970


NHL defenseman Sergei Zubov born in Moscow, Soviet Union. Zubov has played in the NHL since 1992-93 with the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh, and Dallas.

This Day In Hockey History (7/22)

This moment today made me almost forget that this guy was around hockey management that long.  However, thirty years ago today, this guy became the Director Of Operations for a team across the Hudson.

New York Rangers named Craig Patrick as their new Director of Operations. He later was named the team’s General Manager.
