This Day In Hockey History (6/18)

Today we have a bit of a different moment for our hockey fans.  This moment happened two years ago and as much as many deadpan these sorts of things, it is nice to see the show in Las Vegas.  So since this moment is pretty easy to figure out, let us get to the moment with a video first of course.

The NHL held the NHL Awards in Las Vegas for the first time in a grand gala.  The Palms held the event and will hold it for the third time on June 22nd.

This Day In Hockey History (6/18)

This is not a Stanley Cup Finals moment but a moment so unique that it had to be mentioned today.

 

 

June 18, 1987


In a unique transaction, the N.Y. Rangers traded their 1988 first round draft pick to the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for the Nordiques’ coach Michel Bergeron.
