We are slowly getting back into it on This Day, and today its just another one of those crazy moments. Johnny Bucyk was one hell of a hockey player and he has been in the Boston organization for over five decades now which is just amazing. So today’s moment should come really as no surprise to anyone and a testament to the high level of hockey that he played at even when he was in the sunset of his career. Boston’s John Bucyk scored 4 goals, including his 9th career hat trick, and Phil Esposito added a goal and 3 assists, when the Bruins won 6-2 over the Islanders, at Long Island. At age 38 Bucyk became the oldest player to get 4 goals in a game.
