This Day In Hockey History (12/17)

Here is a fun little moment today from Devils color guy Chico Resch.  This came from the early days of the New Jersey Devils (and believe me they were not that good).  Occasionally they would actually win games even as evidenced by this moment below from 28 years ago today.  Now here is that gem with a little video first.

December 17, 1983

New Jersey goaltender Glenn Resch made 42 saves for his 26th (and final) career shutout as the Devils posted their first road shutout, a 2-0 win over the North Stars at Minnesota. Don Lever scored both goals in the game.

BallHype: hype it up!

A good moment was needed on this Thursday more than just to appease the masses but just to keep the memories flowing as we are only 8 days until Christmas. Time really flies in the hockey season. Remember it now.

Yep it is a Hull…..moment time.

December 17, 1977

Detroit’s Dennis Hull scored his 300th career NHL goal and added an assist as the Red Wings won 3-2 at St. Louis.
