This Day In Hockey History (10/25)

Today we remember a guy who may still be more remembered for his hair than even the great Puck Daddy himself, Greg Wyshynski.  Oh that coif!  This New York Ranger had a first today on this day 34 years ago.  Here is a video and then the moment like we always do it here on “This Day”.

 

 

October 25, 1977

New York rookie Ron Duguay scored his first NHL goal and Wayne Thomas got his first Rangers shutout (and the 6th of his NHL career) in a 5-0 win over the Barons, in Cleveland.

Do you remember how good Tim Kerr was?  I most certainly do.  Here is today’s moment from 26 years ago.  What a way to start the week with a natural.

 

 

October 25, 1984

Tim Kerr scored four goals, including three on a natural hat trick in 2:27 as the Flyers beat St. Louis 7-2, at the Spectrum. It was Kerr’s third career hat trick.
