The Program Rides For The National Arthritis Foundation

Yes ladies and gentlemen, it is just a little over five weeks until we attempt our second major bike ride of the season.  This one is for the National Arthritis Foundation.  On September 25th, yours truly will be riding on behalf of The Program and the Whats Brewin In Sports Radio Network in a 50 mile bike ride that spans from the Atlantic Highlands and pretty much around most of Momouth County, New Jersey.

This is by no means an easy ride but not many know this but I do stage riding from time to time.  The test is to put myself maybe a little beyond by normal comfort zone but all for a great cause.  Whether you can spare 5 or 10 or 20 dollars does not matter, any contribution counts and means a lot.  Think about the millions that suffer from a variety of arthritic conditions or surely there is a relative that feels that pain.  There are over 100 diferent types of arthritis.  I, myself, suffer from a minor form of rheumatoid arthritis.  It is not life changing by any means but on certain days, I simply cannot do much of anything.

The 2011 Twin Lights Ride is a challenging ride that spans from the Twin Lights of Sandy Hook and the course runs in a loop of sorts that goes into Middletown, Colts Neck, and my personal favorite Delicious Orchards.  No they do not stop there sadly where the beloved cider is made but nonetheless the course has several challenging hilly sections.

The goal is not only to raise awareness for the cause but yes to raise some funds as well.  If you are in the area and can come out, that would be appreciated as well.  There are a lot of hard working people that have put a ton of time and effort into this.  By the way here is the simple link to our donation page as seen here.  Again we do not ask much but again any support would mean a lot to the great people that put together this event and the riders that support it.  Thanks again for your time.

Sincerely,

Chris Wassel

Director Of The Program
