Something important we learned from last night’s podcast was the following:
You never know when news will come to you but more importantly, its how you handle that news that makes or breaks you.
Words to truly live by. Little did we know what would transpire before last night’s show but here is the archive once again. A special thanks to Launy Schwartz who has handled everything with a degree of class not many could ever even dream to muster. The goal was to literally let Launy speak his peace with questions from Buddy Oakes, Ryan Porth, Tim Rosenthal, Courtney Ann Beckham and yours truly. It was an interview that not only made you think but also made us cringe a bit at the thought of how politics and TV are married a lot closer to the hip than even we envisioned.
What is the best thing to do at this point. Honestly, boycott the show Drafted. As a matter of fact, we will not even link it ouf of disrespect to what the show has become. The only people that lied were the powers that be from The Score. Whether they will ever admit what they did was “yellow” is beyond anyone’s guess. Like I have said before, please listen to the entire interview to get the complete story because it unravels slowly like a good book you cannot put down. Thanks to Launy, Dahlia, and everyone who helped out last night for an interview I will never soon forget.
By letting the interview go like it did, I realized that it was the best thing for everyone. The listeners won most importantly as they gained an insight into a seedy world of television while also learning about some of the unknown parts of the art. When dealing with a difficult media situation, few could have grasped onto the meaning of taking the “high road” better than Launy Schwartz. If anyone thinks he is not going to bounce back then you are truly nuts!
Look! We are not radio experts, far from it. However, there is always a respect when someone carries a presence. Our goal is to try and bring interviews that are entertaining and informative at the same time. Thanks again to all who have supported us and just think, hockey is just a couple weeks away.
Sincerely,
Chris Wassel
