This Day In Hockey History (6/29)

With much apologies, we will try to get some more content up tomorrow but the last few days have been very strange to say the least.  The moment for today which is a bit late due to TSA and “Customs” once again lousing things up is from 21 years ago.  It was one of the more blockbuster trades in NHL history.  Who knew?

At any rate, a trade for two Hall Of Fame caliber guys is pretty amazing and rare.

There are just two more days until the Free Agent Frenzy begins.  Today’s moment happened 11 years ago and featured compensation for signing a GM.  You have to like those.  You were traded so a GM could be signed?  Oh that’s nice.  Anyway here is the moment and maybe a video too.

Back to Monday….and today it gets closer to the Frenzy….just two days away. What is in the vault? A very good question. Time to take a closer look and reveal the video and the moment after the jump.

From the combine last month…..now the moment.
