This Day In Hockey History (3/11)

It is Sunday and really we had nothing much planned for today as we go on assignment tonight to cover the Devils-Flyers game.  In the meantime, we found the moment relatively amusing today for several different reasons.  Do not worry we have the video first and then the little gem.  In this case, at least for this player, there will always be fashion.  This moment is in honor of Derek Felix.

This Day In Hockey History (3/11)

Today is a somber day in the world and we will have our Fantasy Hockey Mini One: A Cut Above. However, it will come out this evening as opposed to lunchtime.  So what did we get for a moment today?  I think it is time to find out.

Today we go back a quarter of a century to the year 1986.  This one is a classic milestone and something you will never see in this version of the NHL period.  Moment time.

BallHype: hype it up!

Today on the moment, we will not play “One Shining Moment” and nor will we ever. That makes people feel sicker than if Don Fehr took over the NHLPA. Oh wait, nevermind on that. At any rate, here is today’s video and moment. This moment is strange to say the least.

Carolina Hurricanes set an NHL record by tying at home for the sixth consecutive game, 3-3 against the visiting Calgary Flames. Bates Battaglia scored to hit the 20-goal plateau for the Hurricanes.
