Today’s moment on This Day simply focuses on one of the greatest coaches in NHL history. There really is no more respect or reverance we can give this Hall Of Fame Coach. The only way to pay justice to this moment is to simply present it. As always, we play the video first and then we take a knee and thank the hockey gods for one hell of a Coach and Builder.

Scotty Bowman won his 1000th NHL game as Coach of the Detroit Red Wings. He was the first Coach ever to do so. Bowman coached for five teams including St. Louis, Montreal, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and last but not least the Detroit Red Wings. The now 78 year old compiled an amazing 1244-573-314-10 record during 30 seasons in the NHL.
