This Day In Hockey History (10/24)

Why is it that we always seem to use Monday for the moments that are most obvious?  Well that answer is just unknown to us or while we are searching for the morning coffee, it seems that we always use the first one that pops up in the inbox.  Today was no exception as we found this from the second incarnation of the Ottawa Senators, however it was not a happy moment.  Now presenting a moment from 19 years ago and a video to go along with it too.

 

 

October 24, 1992


NY Rangers played their first game against the Ottawa Senators in over 58 years (since January 11, 1934), and won 3-2 on Phil Bourque’s goal in overtime.

This Day In Hockey History (10/24)

Today we have one that makes Buffalo fans cringe but at the same time it is about one of the cooler hockey names out there in the National Hockey League.  Moment time ladies and gentlemen……

 

 

October 24, 1995


Dallas’ Dave Gagner scored his 250th career NHL goal, and Darcy Wakaluk stopped 27 shots to record his 8th career shutout, in the Stars’ 3-0 win over the visiting Buffalo Sabres.
