We have a certain fascination with firsts here on The Program and today this one is truly no exception. Up until this point 27 years ago. the St. Louis Blues had gone their whole existence without a double hat trick. Well on this night it would change in spectacular fashion and yes the Blues would go on to win this game. Here is the video and the moment as always straight from the vault.

Dave Barr and Kevin LaVallee each scored their first career hat tricks to lead the Blues to an 8-3 win over the Devils in St. Louis. It was the first “double hat trick” game in Blues history. Barr also had an assist and LaVallee added 2 assists.
