This list sent to us by Julie on fantasy hockey players on her team that have met an untimely injury. It may rival Sean Leahy’s injury list from last year. At any rate, here is her story.
The Hockeywitch’s 2010-2011 bewitched list…
It’s a long story. But very short, players I pick up for my fantasy team will get hurt within 2 weeks of me picking them up, with the exception of most Montreal Canadiens players, Eric Staal, Ryan Miller, and players I specifically despise and pick up so they will get hurt.
So far, my list for the 2010-2011 hockey season…
–Brian Campbell, D, Chicago Blackhawks — sprained right knee, out approximately 1 month
–Jordan Staal, LW, Pittsburgh Penguins — foot, out approximately 10 games
–Ondrej Pavelec, G, Atlanta Thrashers — collapsed on ice, taken off on stretcher, opening night, out indefinitely
–Jason Pominville, RW, Buffalo Sabres — hit from behind, taken off on stretcher, game 3, out indefinitely
–Drew Doughty, D, Los Angeles Kings — upper body injury/concussion, out indefinitely
–Pascale Leclaire, G, Ottawa Senators — groin, out indefinitely
–Craig Anderson, G, Colorado Avalanche — knee injury sustained in pre-game skate, out indefinitely
–Marian Hossa, RW, Chicago Blackhawks — upper body, out appx. 2 weeks
–Jordan Staal, LW, Pittsburgh Penguins — fractured hand, out up to 6 weeks
Just plain ouch and look for more updates in the coming weeks and months!
