Special Thanks To Fanduel

Fanduel is a site that lets you play fantasy hockey at a pace that is more toward most people’s liking and that is FAST.  There are daily and weekly games that test the skill and patience of many experts.  It is tough for most to stomach a full season league.  Speed and skill are key with a bit of luck in leagues like Fanduel but they certainly are fun and can be also for the betting expert who wants to put down some big coin.

Leagues vary in price from a few dollars to those big money ones you dreamed about as a kid.  No one is saying you will be a millionaire off a website like this but there are so many different shotgun leagues just for hockey.  What we are in is a salary cap one night league, winner take $50 and brag like there’s no tomorrow about it.  It is an honor to even be considered in such a league let alone be in it.  There are enough “names” in this league to think I was something special.  I am not.  Admittedly it is fun just to be in this.

The mission of the league is to score the most points on a nine man, $55,000 roster.  Salaries are set by Fanduel and your higher valued players are pretty apparent (Ovechkin, Crosby, etc.).  The job is to find the right mix of talent to score the most points.  It really is that simple.  By the way Kevin Schultz (Barry Melrose Rocks) killed us all and badly last week taking home the $50 top prize.  I had Ryan Miller which was probably my main downfall.

These one day NHL Salary Cap leagues are very easy to join and some literally cost as little as ten dollars.  There is another league going on Saturday Night.  If you want to join in, all you simply have to do is register for an account on Fanduel, put some money in (there are many secure ways to do so), and then get in on the action.  Here is the link for the $10 NHL Salary Cap league Saturday.  First place wins $250 but there is a $755 purse.  So if you finish anywhere in the top ten, you can make a little bit of money.

Our promise to our readers was to not just promote the big year to year fantasy leagues but to take a look at this new type of quick fantasy play.  Though you may pay to play, it sure can be a lot less demanding and yet a lot more fun.  Hopefully you will join Fanduel today and give it a try.

Sincerely,
