Pick The Winner

As we transition a little further now that new technology is aiding us a bit, there will be a couple changes for the good.  Last night, we went 4-2 and our record stands at 29-8 now for the month. There are some more good picks to be had tonight.  The key thing as always is the simple fact that sports betting is an inexact science.

One night you can be on top of the world and the next you can be in dumpsville wondering just what the heck happened.  Trends can be a mirage as well so extensive research and even some hockey knowledge cannot always save a bettor.  There are so many ways to go on a bad streak that it is not even funny.  Personally, it has happened to me quite a few times and especially during hockey’s dog days.  The holidays are near and teams that are rested usually play really well while teams that are not, do not.

The last 15 teams to be on a tail end of a back to back have lost 13 times.  That is a 87% failure rate there.  Out of those 13 teams, 11 were underdogs and 10 failed to cover.  Basically if you picked the favorite, your winning percentage would be 67%.  Ladies and gentlemen, that is a trend to follow even if it evens out a bit.  Times to stay away from it may be around the All Star Break when teams have ample rest or the stretch run where teams play on pure adrenaline, especially those teams who have to win just to make the playoffs.

As the season progresses, our goal will be to help you keep those winning streaks to a max and those losing ones to a minimum.  For the sake of funds and such, I can only say I win more than I lose.  Never will I boast how much I win here because the focus is you, the reader, and not me. Basically the minute handicappers lose focus of that is the minute we have done a disservice.

NEW JERSEY DEVILS

Record:  5-11-2

ATS: 3-15

Keep in mind that LA is almost the exact reverse.  Go figure!  Tomorrow we come up with a new crazy ATS for the readers to digest.
