The Morning After:
Last night’s scores:
Blackhawks 2, Flyers 1
Predictions record: 1-0

My 3 stars from last night:
1. Antti Niemi, CHI
(32 Saves, 1 GA)
Niemi was on fire all night long, stopping many point-blank shots that came his way. He withstood Philly’s furious onslaught late in the game.
2. Marian Hossa, CHI (1 Goal)
Hossa, once again, was a huge factor in Chicago’s win. He finally snapped his goalless drought.
3. Ben Eager, CHI (1 Goal)
Eager scored the game-winning goal – no, that’s not a typo! His wicked wrister gave Chicago a huge 2-0 advantage.
Unsung hero of the night:
Duncan Keith
… Keith had one of the best games I’ve seen him play. He recorded 6 blocked shots, 27 minutes of ice-time, and helped set-up Hossa’s goal – even though he didn’t get an assist for it. His positioning was fantastic, and was great in his own end. The toothless Keith was a machine on the back end!
‘RLD Game-Changing Performance’ of the night:
Hossa & Eager
… After a fast-paced, hard-hitting first period, the second was a lot slower. That’s when you knew 1 or 2 goals would win it. Well, Chicago was able to score 2 goals in 28 seconds late in the second period. Hossa jammed home a rebound, and Eager wristed the eventual game-winner past Michael Leighton. Those two goals were obviously the difference makers.
