Players to watch:

COL- Matt Duchene

Duchene has had an up and down sophomore season thus far.

VAN- Henrik Sedin

The defending Hart winner is tied for the league lead in assists (10).

Projected Goaltenders:

COL- Peter Budaj (2010/11 stats: 1-0-0, 3.69 GAA)

VAN- Roberto Luongo (2010/11 stats: 1-3-2, 2.92 GAA)

VAN- Dan Hamhuis (foot, out), Keith Ballard (concussion, out), Sami Salo (Achilles, out), Alex Burrows (shoulder, out), Alexandre Bolduc (ankle, out)

Game Thoughts:

Vancouver and Colorado enter tonight’s tied for second in the Northwest Division. The Canucks took four of the six head-to-head meetings last year. Roberto Luongo, though, has sputtered out of the gates (like almost every year). If he can improve his game tonight, I see the Canucks coming out on top in a close one.

Prediction: Canucks 4, Avalanche 3

The rest of tonight’s predictions:

Panthers over Maple Leafs

Flyers over Sabres

Coyotes over Senators

Flames over Oilers

Stars over Ducks
