10:30 ET… TV: Local Networks
2010/11 Season Series: 1-0 Kings
Players to watch:
VAN- Ryan Kesler
Kesler has failed to notch a point thus far… can he break that mini-drought tonight?
LA- Dustin Brown
Call it a hunch, but I really feel Brown is going to have a big night.
Projected Goaltenders:
VAN- Roberto Luongo (2010/11 stats: 1-1-1, 1.96 GAA)
LA- Jonathan Quick (2010/11 stats: 2-0-0, 0.96 GAA)
Injury Report:
VAN- Alex Burrows (shoulder, out), Sami Salo (Achilles, out), Alexandre Bolduc (ankle, out)
LA- Matt Greene (shoulder, out), Scott Parse (groin, out)
Game Thoughts:
Vancouver is coming off a tough outing in Anaheim, where they really should have won but lost 4-3. How they rebound is going to determine this game. You the Kings and their crowd will be hyped for this game, welcoming in the team that eliminated them last year. Los Angeles did win the first matchup last weekend, and I think they’ll edge out another victory tonight.
Prediction: Kings 3, Canucks 2
The rest of tonight’s predictions:
Devils over Avalanche
Rangers over Maple Leafs
Penguins over Islanders
Blackhawks over Blue Jackets
Sabres over Canadiens
Thrashers over Ducks
