Penguins @ Devils, 4:00

Blackhawks @ Sabres, 7:00

Avalanche @ Flyers, 7:00

Senators @ Capitals, 7:00

Game of the Day:

4:00 ET… TV: NHL Network (CAN), Local Networks

2009/10 Season Series: 6-0 Devils

Players to watch:

PIT- Mike Comrie

The offense needs to get going, so it’d be nice if Comrie chipped in.

NJ- Ilya Kovalchuk

Kovy traditionally does well against the Pens (36 points in 30 career games).

Projected Goaltenders:

PIT- Marc-Andre Fleury (2010/11 stats: 0-2-0, 3.07 GAA)

NJ- Martin Brodeur (2010/11 stats: 0-1-1, 5.31 GAA)

Injury Report:

PIT- Jordan Staal (foot, out), Arron Asham (shoulder, out)

NJ- Anton Volchenkov (nose, questionable), Brian Rolston (lower body, questionable), Bryce Salvador (concussion, out), Anssi Salmela (knee, out)

Game Thoughts:

This is really a tough game to get a feel for. It’s a rare mid-week matinee tilt in Newark as the Pens and Devils battle for division supremacy. If you remember, the Devils swept the Pens in all six games a year ago. However, John MacLean and company will have difficulty dressing 20 players in the game. Both clubs are seeking their first win, which makes this one even more intriguing. I guess I’m going to keep going with Pittsburgh until they win.

Prediction: Penguins 3, Devils 1

Lock of the Night:

Capitals over Senators… The way the Senators played over the weekend, I do not see them going into Washington and getting two points. It’s possible the Caps have a letdown after their win over New Jersey, but I wouldn’t expect it. This is a team that is determined from the on-set.

The rest of today’s predictions:

Rangers over Islanders

Ducks over Blues

Sabres over Blackhawks

Flyers over Avalanche

Canucks over Panthers
