There are only three games tonight but since we could not get our picks in at all..  Very quickly as we are three hours before showtime tonight.  Here are the betting lines thanks to betus.com.  It is good to have them on board as a sponsor and we will be working with their writers in the future as well.

The PUCK And MONEY Lines:

Crazy on the surface here.but this has to do with the 2-5-1 Devils who may or may not have Kovalchuk tonight.  As of press time, there is no decision just yet.  The -320 puck line is very unusual with the near even moneyline.  This indicates a lot of indecision from bettors and bookies alike.  For example, this prop bet below could be in jeopardy.

Rot# Kovalchuk vs Stepan Most points Moneyline
903 Ilya Kovalchuk
904 Derek Stepan

Nevermind that prop bet, if Kovalchuk does not play, it makes the Rangers an extremely strong bet on the surface and may cause a late surge in betting.  Okay it will cause a late surge.  Right now it looks like he will play.  Official word coming soon apparently as he was seen grinning.  Thanks to Richard Chere and Don LaGreca for the latest.  Now we can attempt to make our predictions here.

BETTING TIME:

  • Tampa Bay
  • NY Rangers (Kovalchuk likely to play)
  • San Jose

There you have it ladies and gentlemen.  It should be a fun night.  See you on the show later.  NO CCPT tonight but The Hockey Writers will be going at 6 for some pre-puck talk then Pro Hockey Weekly then us…all on Blog Talk Radio.  The call in number is 1-347-826-7358 and hope to see you at 8pm ET.  Should be a fun one tonight.
