Tomorrow at Noon ET it begins, the 2010-11 NHL season. At long last, all that preparing and drafting will lead to actual stats. Just think about all the moves and trades that can be made plus all the leagues and trash talking that will ensue. More importantly, it means at long last hockey is here!
For the masses who think we just do this for the fun, we are entering into a shotgun league with Fanduel.com. There are leagues with cash prizes as well as free, practice leagues for the hockey fan. Their salary cap league is a lot like the old Smallworld format. Those not familar with Smallworld basically here is how it goes. You look at the salary, you pick the player and that is it. WAIT! Not quite. The salaries have to add up to a cap, in this case $55,000.
There are some illustrious names in this experts league already but I have been told to keep quiet to protect national security. At any rate, there are so many leagues that start tomorow.
So a Happy Fantasy Hockey Season to all and good luck tomorrow. Now the fun really starts to begin!
