Sure it was a bit of a slow night in the NHL but someone had to take home the POTN right? Well tonight we toast Logan Couture who netted two goals for the San Jose Sharks as they defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 at Joe Louis Arena. Oh by the way, Couture just happened to all get the game winning goal tonight as well as San Jose took the lead 3-2 when they scored two goals in just eight seconds. No, that is not an error either.
Yes there were other players like Clarke MacArthur who tallied twice for Toronto in a 5-4 shootout win (they were down 4-1) and Marc Andre-Fleury who stopped all but one shot against New Jersey but it was more about Logan Couture tonight and how he dominated in a hostile environment. He was a post shy of a hat trick. In a light night of only five games, he was the natural choice.
What will be key and vital is the things we will be up to as coming next Monday, we will also have a Fantasy Player Of The Week. Keep an eye out for it and we promise some games to pick on Tuesday as well as a few surprises. Just to add:
