This Day In Hockey History (9/25)

Here is something of a fun moment for today from yes 85 years ago.  That is not a misprint ladies and gentlemen.  Chicago and Detroit..here is how your teams got their start.  Enjoy this one.

 

 

September 25, 1926


National Hockey League officially granted franchises to two new teams — Chicago Black Hawks and Detroit Cougars (later changed to Red Wings) raising the NHL total to ten teams.

This Day In Hockey History (9/25)

Today’s moment is a special one from a Hall Of Fame class worthy of all the accolades.  This moment happened just 26 years ago today and these men truly deserved it.  Here it goes….

 

 

September 25, 1984


Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto inducted it’s newest members: Phil Esposito, Jacques Lemaire, Bernie Parent, Jake Milford and George “Punch” Imlach.
