This Day In Hockey History (9/24)

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to a Saturday edition of “This Day”.  Today we have a moment that is a rather interesting one as this was about when the original Winnipeg franchise was in trouble.  It came time that Phil Housley was going to have to be traded but admittedly trades like this do not often happen right before the season.  Here is today’s moment from 18 years ago.  The video comes first then the moment as always.

Team Canada won the first “Canada Cup” on Darryl Sittler’s overtime goal which gave Team Canada a 5-4 win over Czechoslovakia.
