This Day In Hockey History (9/20)

It is weird how a trade sort of works well for both teams but this was clearly a case where it definitely did.  This is another one of those transactions that happened 20 years ago today.  We seemed to have one of those in the last week.  Both teams would go on to win the Stanley Cup and rather quickly.  As always, we find the timely video and then the moment will magically appear.  Here is today’s “This Day”.

 

 

September 20, 1991


Montreal Canadiens traded Stephane Richer and Tom Chorske to New Jersey in exchange for Kirk Muller and goalie Roland Melanson.
