This Day In Hockey History (8/5)

Birthdays are always special but the one today is to Devils fans because of the one little contribution this guy made that ultimately led to a third Stanley Cup being raised in New Jersey.  At any rate, it is time to wish this hockey player a happy 35th birthday and a hope for many more.  Shark fans we apologize on the blog’s behalf.  Now the video and then the moment as always.

NHL left winger Jeff Friesen born in Meadow Lake, Sask. Friesen has played in the NHL since 1994-95 with San Jose, Anaheim, and New Jersey.

These trips back to the older days get harder and harder to find in August but we can still pull out the select gem when needed or just a moment that makes you remember something.  Today this one from 13 years ago even had me looking up a few things as well.
