This Day In Hockey History (8/3)

Today’s moment is simply one of pure vanity for yours truly.  Literally it could not be helped and honestly we would not have it any other way.  This one comes from just ten years ago yet the nickname this player has sticks with him for all time.  Simply Bob “The Essenza Of Man”.  Here is the video and moment now.

Buffalo Sabres signed free agent goaltender Bob Essensa, who had been with the Vancouver Canucks.

This moment is always a favorite of mine only because of the man’s name.  Let’s face it…the nickname “Essensa Of Man” is a classic or “Bob the Essensa of Man”.  Either way here is today’s moment from just nine years ago.  Enjoy.
