Today is a very simple but quick moment as we wish a Happy Birthday to a guy who played in the NHL just a few years.  So why are we doing it?  You will see why in the moment.  We wish a Happy 54th to this former defenseman.  Note the place of birth ladies and gentlemen…..

Former NHL defenseman Bob Gladney born in Come-By-Chance, Nfld. Gladney played in the NHL 1982-83 through 1983-84 with Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.

Today we say Happy Birthday to one of the best pure passers of all time, if not maybe the best.  This player was born 48 years ago today.  Enjoy.

Former NHL center Adam Oates born in Weston, Ont. Oates played in the NHL 1985-86 through 2003-04 with Detroit, St. Louis, Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Anaheim, and Edmonton.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim signed free-agent defenseman Fredrik Olausson. The Mighty Ducks had previously traded Olausson to Pittsburgh in Nov. 1996.
