This Day In Hockey History (8/11)

There was a long extensive search for a moment today.  It literally dragged on and on.  Honestly, we thought it would never end.  Then, almots magically, we found one that we felt was at least worthy of making the blog this morning.  At the very least, this one is different.

 

 

August 11, 1998


Mighty Ducks of Anaheim obtained Stu Grimson (a former Duck) and Kevin Haller from the Carolina Hurricanes, in exchange for David Karpa, and a fourth round draft pick in 2000.

Yes we have a moment that refers to the Disney boys today and they were not quite so mighty then but this did happen this day, twelve years ago.  No joking here.
