This Day In Hockey History (7/29)

Today we have a nice little moment to close out the week.  Los Angeles was coming off a rather lackluster season and needed to make a move.  Out went one of their beloved players and this is how the trade went down 17 years ago today.

 

 

July 29, 1994


L.A. Kings traded Luc Robitialle to the Pittsburgh Penguins, in exchange for Rick Tocchet and a second round draft choice (Pavel Rosa) in 1995.

July 29, 1985


 

Jean Perron replaced Jacques Lemaire as Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens. Lemaire resigned to became an Assistant to Managing Director Serge Savard and Director of Hockey Personnel.

An old Mike Bullard fight….

July 29, 1991


Philadelphia traded Mike Bullard to Toronto in exchange for future considerations (3rd round draft choice in 1993 – Vaclav Prospal).
