This Day In Hockey History (7/20)

There are times when you just have to swerve away from the normal moments that you would expect and go with the unexpected.  It was tough to even find any kind of video for this one but nonetheless give kudos to the San Jose Sharks.  Again this one happened on this day 19 years ago.  Do enjoy.

 

 

July 20, 1992


San Jose Sharks hired Deborah Wright as a part-time scout, the first female to work as a scout for an NHL team.

A day to remember for the WHA…and one to forget for the Montreal Canadiens to a point anyway.  The moment was 38 years ago today.

 

 

July 20, 1972


Montreal Canadiens’ star J.C. Tremblay signed a five year contract with the Quebec Nordiques of the newly formed World Hockey Association, and Maurice Richard was hired as the team’s first head coach.
