This Day In Hockey History (11/12)

This is not exactly a “perfect” moment but we just claim it to be.  When one thinks of some of the worst Chicago moments, this has to at least somewhat rank up there.  Also, if it happens in your own barn, that has to be a major insult.  So it is time to reveal the moment that did occur 13 years ago and was a “perfect 10” just not for the Blackhawks.  Here is video then the gem as always….

 

 

November 12, 1998


Mats Sundin scored three straight goals for his 6th career hat trick and added an assist as Toronto won 10-3, at Chicago. It was the first time in 10 years the Blackhawks had given up 10 goals in a game (Oct, 1988).

November 12, 1972


Rangers left wing rookie Steve Vickers scored his first career hat trick as the Rangers beat the Kings 5-1, at MSG. Three days later Vickers would add his second career hat trick.
