Brendan Shanahan scored his third career hat trick to lead the Blues to a 5-3 Opening Night win over the Florida Panthers, in St. Louis.

Eric Lindros scored his first goal as a Ranger and added an assist, and Brian Leetch got the winning goal at 2:45 of overtime as New York won 5-4 against the visiting Buffalo Sabres.

Hump DAY!!!! So on This Day, we tried to find a moment that most represented Hump Day. This one is to show Dan that the Flyers do indeed set other milestones against the Devils. Fire it up!

October 07, 1996


Flyers beat the Devils 3-1 in Philadelphia, for their 700th home win in franchise history. The Flyers became the first post-1967 NHL team to record 700 home victories.
