To be fair, Vincent Lecavalier does have 6 assists in 7 games and 26 shots on goal. He probably is the one guy on Tampa you did not expect to be without a goal at this point. Even Todd Fedoruk has a goal…and yes I know that was a low blow. However it needed to be done. At the seven game mark even I thought #4 would at least have #1 right now.
Now while no one expects this trend to continue. People have to be admittedly concerned down in Tampa as if they did not have enough concerns to begin with. Even the Niedermayer from New Jersey has scored….draft picks have scored. Fortunately no goalies have scored yet. That would be a bit embarrassing though Fedoruk scoring before Lecavalier is (though humorous).
The question now becomes this. When will Vinnie score? We know he can score off the ice. That is not the question here Tampa fans. Will it be tonight against San Jose or could this drag out until November? I will leave that question up to the public.
