Due to the breaking news of last night and the frantic rush to get ready for the day on Friday, there will be no statistical oddities this week. We do apologize humbly but instead in its mere presence offer up 16 of the best moments of this hockey decade to set up our tournament for next week. Enjoy. - The day the NHL shut it down. The year plus long NHL lockout that still affects the sport today.
- Ray Bourque lifting the Stanley Cup in 2001.
- Martin Brodeur breaks the wins and shutout record in the same calendar year.
- Stephen Peat and PJ Stock fought it out …..and fought….and fought.
- Game 7 last year between the Pens and Wings and the near OT thriller.
