So Christmas is in a few days and I know everyone was trying to figure out what to get me this year. I decided to make a wish list of things the fans can get me. I know this is short notice but I figured you guys still have a few days left.
1. The Stanley Cup I know its a pipe dream, but if anyone can get this for me I would be in their debt forever. It is something I always wanted. It has so many uses. If somehow someone can acquire this for me, I would name that person Godparent to my child. The child would of course be baptized in the Cup. Seriously is there any other way to be baptized?
2. A Harold Snepsts Jersey. I came across one on Amazon the other day. I was tempted to buy it, but figured I would let one of you get it for me instead. If I was to get this I would grow a wicked mustache, cut my hair into a receding hairline and be a Harold Snepsts impersonator. I can hear Vegas calling now.
3. The WJC ticket package for the upcoming tournament in Buffalo. That would be so awesome. Just think I would be able to do live blogs from the games and report on what is the future of hockey this would benefit everyone.
4. A Traded Max. If anyone can get this done I would be grateful. Contact your GM tell them you would love to have Max Afinogenov on your team. By him leaving, Buffalo Sabres fans no longer would have to worry about smelling the Yule Log he leaves on the ice
5. A Puck Bunny, OK I may not be Ryan Miller or Mikko Koivu or Zach Parise or even Chris Higgins. Let’s face it although I don’t play hockey, I still am pretty cool. I write about hockey and know quite a little about the game, besides I am a host of a podcast… Feel free to start that fan club anytime now.
6. A Zamboni, OK I know technically speaking it is not street legal, but I assure you I do not care and I would still drive it around. Could you imagine how cool it would be to pull up to Tim Horton’s rocking the Zamboni.
7. A New Toque, its cold in Buffalo and I have lost my Sabres Toque from last year. I will gladly accept a Toque of any team as long as they play in cold weather.
8. Beer a case of Fat Tire. I cannot get it in Buffalo I miss it. It is my favorite beer and it would make for an excellent Christmas.
9. A defibrillator, this season has had some plays that have made my heart stop. I need this piece of medical equipment to ensure that I will be alive by the end of it.
10. For all of you to tune in Wed. To The Program With Chris, Rick and Mike… It is gonna be a fun show as we celebrate. From what I hear Mike is gonna roast Scott Merms nuts on an open fire. Lord knows what will happen.
