It is two days before Christmas and all through the house…. THERE’S A BOATLOAD OF HOCKEY TO KEEP US INSIDE!!!!!!! Thirteen games in all folks including the game of the night as Boston travels to NJ to face the Devils. Of course there is going to be the inevitable withdrawal on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but do not fret…..we at The Program will have things to get you through that withdrawal.
The nice thing about the two day break is that we get to take a bit of a break here. Christmas Eve will be very simple around here…with a normal Hockey Top 5 followed by such things as a column called Naughty and Nice!! There will also be a couple more posts and preview of tomorrow night’s podcast. Videos Before Bedtime will consist of old classics from yesteryear because well the old days have a place and always will here.
People have asked me what I am going to do for two days without hockey. Well ironically I will be preparing for the World Junior Championships which start on Friday. I will be in contact with a few media guys that will be covering the event and frankly I am pumped for this tournament. I also have other options such as countless hockey DVD’s….and some nieces to torment with old time hockey stories from my youth. Nothing puts little girls to sleep faster than a man explaining how he plastered some guy face first into the boards…well hopefully!
So while everyone is making sure all the family is accounted for and all the food is being prepared, leave the hockey to us!!! Check back in every so often and we will try to keep everything as updated as possible. So from all of us at The Program…we wish you a Happy Holidays.
