Now back from San Diego….it will take a couple days to get back into full hockey mode. Things were so relaxing down there and it was great just to be able to just spend time with the wife, tour around the town, and eat at nice restaurants. Only one little minor mishap with the smoke detector going off in the room but an open window took care of that problem. It was nice to get to cook at my own leisure…not to mention the outdoor grilling area….awesome stuff. There were ample areas to run not to mention the sports courts…a jacuzzi, and a nice lap pool. If people realized how little I paid for this room (thank you Dawn), they would have probably killed me.
Pictures will be coming soon….our only regret was that it wasn’t Sunny yesterday but no matter. I can definitely see moving down to San Diego sometime next year and we will be closer to Anaheim and LA…for hockey games.
Speaking of hockey, time to jump right back on the roller coaster. The Devils host the Maple Leafs tonight. Hey William, the Leafs are on the road…that should offer some hope. Jason Spezza resigned with the Sens this morning at 7 years, 49 million…taking him off the market. Good news for Sens fans…hopefully the cap goes up a little in that span…I am sure it will. Sandis Ozolinsh is also expected to sign a one year deal with the Sharks at some point today or tomorrow.
In other news…where will Peter Forsberg end up? Will it be Philly, Colorado, Ottawa, or some left field place we don’t expect? It is safe to say scouts from at least 3 teams will be at the Karjala Cup in Sweden when Forsberg plays. Anyone’s guess as to who actually bites the bullet and signs him, however.
Well it is indeed good to be back….and able to watch tons of hockey again. Good hockey…good fight…good night!
