THRASHERS WIN, MOVE TO FIRST PLACE TIE

With two goals by Marian Hossa and Ilya Kovalchuk adding one The Atlanta Thrashers had their 3rd straight win Sunday night against the Carolina Hurricanes (3-1). Kari Lehtonen played one of his best games of the season, which helped Atlanta move up to a first place tie with Tampa Bay. Lehtonen had 35 saves and his 28th win Sunday.

What does this tell you? First, Second, Sixth and back to First! even when the Thrashers are struggling to stay in their respective division, they come back and take the number one spot, regardless of having to share it with Tampa Bay. I am very proud of the Thrashers, ever since the Trade Deadline, the Team has kicked it into high gear and now they are on a roll. For weeks now i have been saying numerous times that I know the Thrashers can do it and that I believe in Blueland. So you already know where I stand when it comes to the Team.

Thrashers Goalie Kari Lehtonen said that it “felt good to be back in first place” Which I am sure that it does, because the Thrashers have had a hard road that they had to travel down for awhile. I do not believe that you can get rid of the Thrashers that easily, seeing all that they went through and now they are back on number one, competeing with another Number 1 team for their respective division title. The Thrashers have a shot for the Playoffs, and if they keep playing like they are, they’ll win the cup too. This is the Thrashers year for a sweet, sweet victory.

Speaking, of victory, Lehtonen’s parents came down to see him play from Finland. What a special moment to win infront of your parents. Kinda a nifty lil’ treat dont ya think?

LETS GO THRASHERS!
