Looks really refreshing, doesn’t it? Well like the waterfall…the hockey season is rushing upon us. At long last, the drop of the puck will happen and the games will count. Fans will be debating which team is the best instead of which team looks best on paper. By the way this week’s picture is from Dingman’s Falls on the Pennsy side of the Deleware Water Gap.
It is amazing that in just 2 1/2 weeks, the Anaheim Ducks will begin their attempt to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions. This will be an arduous task indeed but if there is one team built to not flounder…it is them. Will they? Truthfully, I can’t see them repeating but I do definitely see them contending. The West is quite stacked with teams that can make that run to the Finals…it most certainly will not be an easy task depending on when Niedermayer plays (Yes I believe you will see Scott Niedermayer in a Ducks uniform this season…the question will be when). To me, they are also a team where the Stanley Cup “hangover” may not effect them till the playoffs. Physical hockey does win championships…and sustaining that type of play will be the Ducks’ hardest goal to match this year.
On to other matters entirely….my Center Ice is all raring to go for this season…with my DVR ready and able…I will be taping as many games as I humanly, possibly can. The fun indeed will be trying to watch them all. My hockey tooth is probably sweeter than my sugar tooth. I have my Devils logo ready to go on the remote….the Ducks logo conveniently didn’t get ordered (OOPS!).

Finally, I just wanted to congratulate Loren…as our favorite Ducks blogger and Ducks GM will be able to go to her first ever NHL game when the Ducks face the Kings in London at the end of the month. We at The NHL Arena Program salute her and hope she has a smashing good time. Of course, don’t forget the pictures….we want to see pictures! Maybe a blog even about the game…that sounds good too. Seriously Loren, just enjoy yourself and bask in the coolest game on Earth!
