Stanley Cup Final Roundup…The Last Game???

So tonight could end it all……there may be a celebration, then again, there may not. History is on the Ducks side but stranger things have happened. Game 5 tonight will be played at the Honda Center…and yes the Stanley Cup will be in the building. Some guy who gets to fly with it, brush his teeth with it, and sleep with it might just have to give it up for awhile. Yes, he even cleans and shines it too. It is all here…all on the roundup.

The game will be on NBC and CBC at 8pm tonight…but what better way to preview the game by doing something a little different….here goes nothing. Some of our posters from The NHL Arena were kind enough to give their insight.

Why Anaheim will win the game tonight???

Iggysfan: However.. I’ve got different reasons for the cup being awarded tonight

1) Back in Anaheim…20,000 (er..maybe lol) fans behind them
2) They KNOW the Cup WILL be in the building
3) Pronger will be back
4) If you think they played like they wanted it the first 3 games they won…knowing tonight it could be all over, it could be theirs..on home ice, I think will be enough for them to pull out a win tonight.

Ogre1kanobe: The south’s gonna do it again. That’s the old Charlie Daniels Band tune that must be blaring in the Anaheim Ducks’ headquarters after they won Game 4 of this Stanley Cup series 3-2, to take a commanding 3-1 lead. The last two Cup winners have been from the Sun Belt of the United States, Tampa Bay and Carolina with the infamous lockout year sandwiched in between. This certainly isn’t what the Ottawa Senators, where the Cup was born, had in mind.

Okay I had to throw this in for humor……

Oilers4Ever: The Anaheim Ducks are on the verge of history. Up three games to one in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Ducks are a win away from capturing their first ever championship in franchise history, and bringing Lord Stanley’s Cup to the West Coast for the first time in 85 years.

But just why will the Ducks win the Stanley Cup? Some could say it’s because of the heroics of Jean Sebastien Giguere. Others will point to Teemu Selanne, one of the greatest players in NHL history to have never won the Stanley Cup. Or how every line seems to be clicking at the right time. But I point to something else… something far more powerful…

Gordon Bombay. Read more of this at The NHL Arena– NHL Board.

Why Ottawa will win?????

Pc269: To me, it isn’t completely disasterous as it seems. Emery is playing BETTER. He’s been the best sen this series. All the Sens need to do, is clear the gaps quicker and get more pucks deep. And maybe take a few more calls, don’t let Disneyland rough it up. And these guys take more penalties than Sean Avery. Get that powerplay smokin. As long as Emery keeps himself playing as he is now, Sens have a chance. But I would recomend using two forwards to screen Giguere. Gotta do SOMETHING.

Backdraft: LET’S GO SENS!! DO IT FOR YOUR FAMILIES…DO IT FOR YOUR CITY…DO IT FOR THE COUNTRY!!

I thought the last one was the simplest yet most effective. My pick is simple and to the point.

Coach Bombay, "Ducks fly together!"
Ducks fly together and win Lord Stanley.

So come check us out one and everyone, as Game 5 unfolds tonight. Who knows, there may be a surprise or three…..all on the GDT. Do check out some of our favorite hockey blogs on the sidebar…you won’t be disappointed.
