The Battle of California will be at it again today with their usual banter about the Ducks this time. Check out Hitting Back for some more Rangers and playoffs in general. Don’t forget The Battle of New York for more tri-state and NHL playoff musings. For a little flavor from British Columbia…check out Canucks and Beyond. Finally…we didn’t forget Buffalo….check out The Buffalo Blog. All good stuff…all the time.

Buffaloes over Broadway????

Buffalo Sabres @ New York Rangers 2pm EDT NBC,TSN

The Rangers need this kind of support today.

Alrighty…so the Rangers need to get back in this series…they should have won Game 2 but Miller stole one from them. So what does Lundqvist have to do……steal one back of course. The Sabres really did not come out with intensity in Game 2…the Rangers did. As a matter of fact, the Rangers came out as if it was a home game for them. They need that again this afternoon. Vanek has been a Ranger killer but Avery hasn’t been the Sabre rattler that many expected him to be. Maybe that will change today because if it doesn’t…the Rangers may be one step from walking the plank. See what happens today…all on the GDT.

Duckies Swim Upstream????

Anaheim Ducks @ Vancouver Canucks 8pm EDT VS,CBC

Luongo needs to come up big again as always in Game 3.

Well after a gut wrenching 2 OT loss…what better thing to do than to head on the road to clear some air. The Ducks are a very disciplined road team….but really do need to get their offense going tonight….and not wait till OT to do it. A goalie like Luongo gets stronger as the game goes on so you must pounce early and when you don’t….the Canucks only need one tally to win it…as there was a Cowan the Brabarian sighting in Game 2 as Exhibit A. Giguere will have to play the same way today for the Ducks to steal one as two or three goals may win every game from here on out. Anaheim will need some second and third line contributions…something Vancouver almost feeds off of in these playoffs. So who will take Game 3…..check it all out on our GDT. Andrew and Erin will be leading the way.

For all the hockey playoffs….the light is always on at The NHL Arena.
