Not a lot happening in Duck world

Rumours are still flying around about Scott Niedermayer and Teemu Selanne to retire from hockey.

Scott is getting closer and closer to announce his retirement but decided not to announce it due to his brother’s (Rob) wedding according to sources. Scotty deserves to finish on top after helping his brother Rob and the Anaheim Ducks win the Stanley Cup for the first time in the team’s history. He is one of the best defencemen in the NHL and hockey alone.

Nothing heard from Teemu at the moment but it sounds like that he will retire. Teemu battled it in the NHL for all those years without winning a Stanley Cup but he has passed quite a few milestones during his NHL career. Best Finnish player after Jari Kurri to hit the NHL and he deserves to go out on top like Scott Niedermayer. He also deserves to get his #8 jersey retired by the Ducks.

At least Brian Burke has sorted replacements out in Mathieu Schneider and Todd Bertuzzi for them if one of both of them call it a day but the salary cap is going high.

I will post more news soon and I hope to see all of you at the new NHL Arena website!
