It’s a light night in the NHL. Even though there are only four games. There is a big one back East. And away we go……..
Hockey Roundup — March 28th
HEADLINE GAME
New Jersey Devils @ Buffalo Sabres 7pm EDT FSNY, MSG
Miller will need to be on top of his game tonight as he faces the Devils at the HSBC.
So here we are again….just when you thought the race for the 1 seed is over….it has suddenly become somewhat muddled. The Sabres have 103 points but the Pens, Sens, and Devils all have 98 points. A regulation win by the Devils tonight would turn this into a race for the last week. A win for the Sabres pretty much seals the deal. Both teams are getting healthy at the right time. Ales Kotalik is expected to play tonight after missing 16 games with a knee injury and Patrik Elias returned last night with an assist in his first game back from a groin injury. All three games this season have been decided by 3-2 scores and with the way these two teams play…I don’t expect any different this time. Ryan Miller goes for win 36 and Martin Brodeur goes for the NHL lead tonight….come see the GDT at The NHL Arena for all the game and postgame action.
And our boys at TSN have another game in the dash for the playoffs tonite……
Carolina Hurricanes @ Philadelphia Flyers 7:30pm EDT TSN,FSS
Brindamour and the Canes are fighting for their playoff lives tonite.
The Hurricanes are fighting for their playoff lives…and not many would believe it in a million years. They do have a game in hand…but when 6th-11th is separated by only three points….every game is a must win. The Hurricanes come off a 6-1 rout at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ah, the roller coaster life these days of the Stanley Cup Champs. The Flyers are trying to play spoiler and would like nothing more to beat the defending champs in their barn. Martin Biron and Cam Ward are the goalies expected to start tonight….and it has the makings for a very curious game to say the least. The NHL Arena will have the GDT and all the wrapup….enjoy!
In other action….
Atlanta Thrashers @ Florida Panthers 7:30pm EDT SS,FSFL
Anaheim Ducks @ Chicago Blackhawks 8:30pm EDT FSW
All the hard hits and thunderous action tonite at The NHL Arena.
