Hi all!
I just wanted to do a quick write on the best and worse things that has happened to the Ducks in the year 2007.
Best things in 2007
- Beating Detroit in the WCF in 6 games.
- Winning the Stanley Cup against the Senators in 5 games. I found it funny that most of the media were predicting Ottawa to win the cup.
- Signing JS Giguere and Ryan Getzlaf to long term contracts.
- The Ducks and Kings coming to London to play two games and I saw one of the games!
- Scott Niedermayer returning even though he took 6 months to make a stupid decision.
- I know Ducks fans were sad at trading Andy McDonald to St Louis for Doug Weight and a prospect but Doug is an UFA after this season which makes our payroll easier.
- Bobby Ryan getting a chance playing for the Ducks.
- Signing Jonas Hiller.
Worse things in 2007
- Teemu still undecided about retirement.
- Losing more games than last season.
- Losing Penner to Edmonton for a bag loads of money because the PPG (Penner, Perry and Getzlaf) line doesn’t exist anymore.
- Always losing games against crap teams last season.
- Waiting for Scott Niedermayer to make his decision on retirement.
- Ilya Bryzgalov claimed on waivers by Phoenix and we got nothing in return!
