Due to computer problems I have been unable to post lately, and there has been a lot going on when it comes to Thrashers hockey. So bare with me here, as we catch up to the news.
Thrashers get Keith Tkachuk & Alexei Zhitnik
Zhitnik a defensman from the Philidelphia Flyers was picked up in exchange for Braydon Coburn. On Sunday the Thrashers recieved Tkachuk from the St. Louis Blues for Glen Metropolit and three draft picks. As I have come to see both boys that we got are already stepping up and bringing a lot to the club. During the last game Zhitnik had an assist to help the Thrashers win 3-2 against the Bruins.
*The Win improves the Thrashers record to 3-7-2 for February*
Thrashers Move From 1st to 6th Place
The Thrashers lost six of there previous seven games, booting them from the number one spot in their division, now the Thrashers have to pick up the pieces once again, and battle to get back on top. Four team are now battling for the final three stops to make it to the Playoffs. I see personally, The Thrashers chances of making it to the playoffs slipping through their fingers. That is if they dont get it in gear and start winning some games.
The team still has a chance now that they have new players on the team that are already bringing much needed help to the organization. Along with the three new Traded players * Pascal Dupuis is also new* and the acquired Eric Balanger, Atlanta might just be able to do; what for so many years that they couldnt.
